Profile:
Born in Tokyo, Japan and spent a multicultural childhood in Southeast Asia before immigrating to Melbourne at the age of 9. A graduate of the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce and Arts, is fluent in both professional English & Japanese and can enable seamless communication with diverse clients.
With over 20 years of experience, specialises in outsourced accounting services, preparation of financial documents, business compliance, tax & payroll tax consulting and various tax return preparations ranging from individuals (including investors and sole traders) to small to medium-sized companies. Leveraging knowledge and experience, provides specialised and personalised services tailored to each client’s needs to support their business growth and development.
Professional History:
January 1999: Began career as an Assistant Accountant under Shizuko Carol MacDonald CPA at Kuyama MacDonalds & Associates while pursuing university studies
July 2001: Continued as an full-time Accountant with the same firm after graduation
December 2004: Achieved CPA qualifications by completing the CPA Program
September 2007: Registered as a Tax Agent and established Kuyama Ito & Co Pty Ltd in Malvern following the retirement of Shizuko Carol MacDonald
October 2022: Commenced contributing to the CPA Program as a contents creator of exam questions for the “Australian Taxation” subject
July 2024: Relocated office to the Melbourne CBD and joined Meisters in One as a member firm.
